| The ability to "run" knowledge management in health also depends on organizational intelligence that, in the first instance, should promote synergy between the activities of science and technology information gathering mechanisms and instruments as well as methodologies and forms of organization that may enhance the ability to promote activities in networks.
From an international workshop held in February (http://iasis.fmrp.usp.br/) and a project funded by FAPESP in Brazil (http://agencia.fapesp.br/19117) researchers from the Center for Research in Health Technologies and Information Systems (CINTESIS) from FM-UP and researchers of the Centre for Health Informatics and Information (CIIS) (http://ciis.fmrp.usp.br/orah/) from FMRP-USP, has been discussing the possibility gradually to structure an inter-institutional cooperative network in order to deepen knowledge in projects of interest to both groups in the development of information Systems in Healthcare from the exchange of information and documentation of software for health. It should be noted that all shared development is being designed by working three main axes which relate the infrastructure of Information Systems in Healthcare: (1) terminologies in health, (2) interoperability between health information systems, (3) audit and data quality.
In addition to the interdisciplinary attractive, its features should lead to nucleation of an international center of excellence in technological convergence of health information systems with a focus on users and system developers in Portuguese.
