FCT's Funding Scheme for 2015
The FCT has recently announced its funding scheme for 2015. Most of the calls are of special interest to CINTESIS researchers. In fact, considering the 2014 and the 1st semester of 2015 submission record, several applications are expected in the 2nd semester of 2015.
For individual researchers, the 2015 FCT Investigator grants is a good opportunity to develop personal research projects with most of the benefits of a job contract, so keep an eye out in July. For the first time, the FCT is also opening positions for Science Communication and Research Management - only PhD holders can apply to this call, which is expected to open in October.
For established researchers, there are several opportunities to develop research projects, with International partners (e.g. ERA-Nets, from July to December), integrating medical research and clinical research (in September/October), implementing PhD programmes in an Industry setting (in October) or developing the "traditional" R&D FCT projects (November/December).
